Want to find out more?

To get started, send us an email to becomeacreator@printster.co.uk. Please attach a sample of your artwork (it can be a link to an account on the likes of Instagram or Flickr, or can just be a few images attached to the email), and we’ll get back to you detailing next steps. Absolutely anyone can apply to become a creator at Printster - we manually review every design submitted to ensure it's suitable, but you don't need a portfolio of hundreds of designs to start selling with us.

We’ll promote your design on our website - both in our card category, and in your very own creator profile. Whenever you submit new designs, once we've set the product live we’ll provide you with the direct link to this product, so that you can promote it too if you wish.

Copyright remains yours as the creator, we simply license your work for print on our products in return for a royalty fee. A license agreement will need to be signed prior to any designs going live on our website.

Once the license agreement has been signed, we'll provide you with design templates to make things as easy as possible - this will help you to ensure you provide designs ready for print, meaning we can get your designs live sooner.

FAQ

How does it work?
You send us your artwork, and we’ll put this on our website as a card design to sell. We produce a sales report at the end of each month, and you’ll get a royalty payment for every purchase of one of your designs.
What products will my artwork appear on?
At the moment, we're only accepting artwork for card designs. This may change in the future though, so stay tuned!
How do I send you my artwork?
The best way is to upload to a platform such as WeTransfer, and send us this link. We’ll then download and review your artwork to check it’s suitable for sale.
What’s in it for me?
We’ll pay you a royalty fee at an introductory rate of 15% of net sales (sale price excluding VAT & shipping where applicable) for every purchase of one of your designs! Being on our platform will also help to give you exposure as a creator, with your very own creators page on our website.
What can I use to create my design?
We don't mind whether you create your design in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop, all you need to do is ensure that you send us a .PSD file as your final design.
How do I get paid?
We pay out monthly, one month in arrears, to your Paypal account, so will ask for this during the signup process. Please note, due to Paypal's fees, we will only pay out once you've made a minimum of £20. Any balance under this rolls over to the next month, and is continually accrued until the minimum payout threshold is achieved. For example, if you start selling with us in May, and you generate £20 in royalties, you'll receive payment at the end of June. If you generate £10 in royalties for May, and £10 in June, then you'll receive £20 at the end of July. We will inform you of your royalties accrued at the end of each month, regardless of whether the threshold has been reached or not.
How long does it take?
We aim to respond to all initial enquiries within 1 working day. From the date that we have agreed terms and received your print-ready artwork, we'll aim to get it live on our website within 7 working days.
Does my design to have to be exclusive to you?
No, you are free to sell your design on other platforms too, unless explicitly agreed as part of the Creator License Agreement, or on a design-by-design basis. If you decide to exclusively license your designs to us, there will be a preferential royalty fee over non-exclusive Creators and designs.
How will you promote my designs?
As standard, your designs will be added to your very own creators page, added into the relevant card categories on our website and we'll also announce every new creator on our social media channels. From time to time, we will promote designs with increased placements in our category pages and search pages. Your designs will also be eligible to show in other marketing channels such as email, Google Search & Shopping, and Facebook Ads.
